I was tired of denim that only looked good in the photo. So I built these.

I started Stitched by Mila because every "pretty" pair I ordered showed up flat — scratchy lace, roses that looked printed on, a fit that quit at the thigh. I wanted western denim you could wear to a show and still feel put-together in.

The Rose Lace Flare is the pair I kept chasing: a low-rise flare that skims the hip, dimensional roses up the thigh, pearl beading, sheer floral lace down the side. Soft enough to dance in, loud enough to get stopped over.

How do these fit?

Slim through the hip and thigh, then flaring long from the knee. They run true to size — if you're between two sizes, size up for a little more room through the thigh.

Are they really low rise?

Yes — they sit on the hips, just below the natural waist. Low enough for that Y2K western look, but still comfortable to sit and move in.

How dramatic is the flare?

Full western flare. It's fitted to the knee then opens into a long, dramatic leg that falls over a boot or heel — not a subtle bootcut.

Is the lace sheer?

The cream floral side panels are semi-sheer, so you'll catch a little skin through them — that's the intended look. The main denim is fully opaque.

How should I style them?

Keep it simple up top so the roses stay the statement: a fitted top, corset or tucked western shirt, finished with boots or a heel. Let the flare cover the shoe.

How do I care for the lace?

Cold delicate wash inside out, then hang dry. Never tumble dry — the heat damages the lace and roses. Don't iron directly over the roses or pearl beading.
